Bummer...

I learned my lesson when my IPOD was stolen a few months back at the Venetian Valet. I complained but who's there to listen. I was told I was responsible for leaving valuables in the car. On top of that what really pissed me off was the valet asking me (after I handed him the $20) if I needed change!!! (Of course I need my change back, I am not a total moron who would tip you a whole $20 after you stole my IPOD!!! I would only tip you $5)

You shouldnt have given them crap after that. Well, maybe a hand full of pennies.

Most Valets are kids, I would not trust them with any car, not even a Pinto.

I hope they find their car in the same condition. Keep us updated.

I have had so many problems with valet drivers...too many to list. I don't under ANY condition let anyone that I don't know touch my car. I usually have to pay $20-40 extra to park my car myself "up front." It is worth it though. I can just see the drool when I pull up to a valet stand in the Gallardo or SL55. I love the look on these kids faces when I ask "Where can I park it?" HAHAHhHahHAHHA!

wow, im sorry to hear what happened to your inlaws. I have a Bellagio trip planned in 2 weeks, looks like i wont be leaving my car with the valet. Is Bellagio's insurance going to cover for the loss of the car?

Two of my employees learned to drive stick as valets in Baltimore many years ago. They drove many nice cars, crunching the gears and dumping clutches.
No valet parking for me!

When did paying for a service become a form of showmanship?

How about at the dealership ???

Years ago, I inadvertantly left some restaurant gift certificates, in a plain white envelope, in my drivers door panel, while in for service at a Baltimore Mercedes dealership. I called my service advisor later that day and he said, "S**t, I can't believe he did that again". The dealership sent we a check, and paid me in full. Obviously theft like this occurs all the time.

Sorry to hear. This isn't the first time this has happened here in town. I think it was Robert Deniro who had an SL stolen from valet while in town a few years back and one of the cast from CSI had his stolen from a valet not too long ago.
We had a previous car crunched by a Valet at the Orleans when I was away. They first denied it until my wife said lets see the security tapes.
While I was picking up the CLS at the bodyshop last week for a door ding,
A brandnew CL65 was sitting there just crunched by the valet. Do I still park at the valet Yes if they will put it up front and I can watch them.(it does cost you extra but worth it) With the cars that get put up front I seriously doubt my CLS would be the 1st to go. I hope.

That's what happen when some people just want to show off, should have park the car themself !!!
WTF????

4 wheeled car.
DAmn. Everytime I go on a trip to VEgas, I spend so much money on valet. I make them park it up front, and I wait until they get out of the car -if not, I park it myself. Never had a problem at the bellagio though.

When I was 16, I learned how to drive stick on an MB while working as a valet. My coworkers would steal everything and anything in the car cuz once they get in and drive away, the valet company isn't responsible. It definately made me learn to never trust a valet.

It still cost you the deductable and times if some minor problem like rip bumper, scrape/bent rim..etc. Even if the insurance total it, you still feel a lost because there are other stuffs that you did to the car and didn't pay for it. And what if the car is found and it all f$%$CK up and the insurance decide to fix it, it will never be the same.

I've have heard and seen alot of this stories on the TV News with hide camera. Trust me, if you have one of those fast car, there's no doubt, they take it around the block and showing off. I've also heard people do stupid thing with rental car too.
