Parktronic or Keyless Go?

If you can have only one of these options, which one would you get? I'm looking at two S55's, each one has one but not both, otherwise the cars are fairly equal in mileage and condition.

Trying to make a decision by Friday!

Any comments are welcome.............

Tell me what you like about the most? I have never seen it being used. Other than the fact you can press the button to start the car instead of using the key, what else does it do?

It's just more convienent to get in the car and start it without taking the key.

The Parktronic on the other hand, if you are a good parker, and are used to parking large cars, then you are good without it.

These are two good options, and it's pretty hard to decide.

I'm going to have to disagree with DancingBenzos and say get the one with the Parktronic. You might save the bumpers in tight parking spaces.

keyless go has a cool factor to it. All my friends thinks it the greatest. To be honest I don't even use the parktronic.

I would go for the Keyless Go, much more practical.

I second this! i had this choice with my touareg and took the keyless go, i cant count how many times i have walked up to the car with my hands full and all i had to do was pull the handle with my pinkie finger to open the door rather then fool around looking for my key fob and pressing the correct button. on the parktronic part, i am a pry my touareg into almost any spot, what i am worried about is the other drivers...

I guess my favorite thing about keyless go is that valet or parking attendants never get to drive my CL. The 4 or 5 times that it has surfaced, I ask the attendents if they want to just get in & tell me where to park b/c the car has no key.

They get stuck on stupid for a second & then just comply. After parking, I hit the recirculating key (thanks Dave) & all the windows & roof close up. i then hit the shifter and shut the car off. They just have a lost look on their face.

I love it. Thank good my CL is fully loaded.

I second this. I have both and I would prefer Keyless Go if I had to have only one. You will use it every time you start the car. On the other hand, Parktronic would be used only occasionally.

Keyless go because the sensors look like crap. Especially after they collect wax on a dark car.

I have both on my CL and the keyless go has a bigger WOW factor. It is fun to ask a friend to open the door (which he can't because I'm standing more than 3 feet away) and then walk up and give it a command in German and open then door. That really freaks people out! Or tell them it reads your fingerprints....

Although, on the parktronic.....I stupidly backed out one night in my old CL500 that didn't have parktronic and was watching one car and backed into one that I never saw in the street. If I had the Parktronic (or been in less of a rush) it wouldn't have happened.

Keyless Go is still my favorite. It is nice to jump in and press a button and go.

cant remember the last time i took the key out from my pocket and actually used it on the car....except for when i had to do the ECU reset trick. Keyless Go! If it was on a car like mines...i'd have a very hard time deciding. The CLS has alot of blind spots...parktronic is very useful here.

I currently have every option EXCEPT keyless go (but not on purpose, I purchased a 2003) - Is it pricy to have a dealer add it later, and how much would we be talking?

Angelina Jolie or Charlize Theron?

Similar answer to this thread... would be nice to have both at the same time in the same car.

Keyless go is popular, and parktronic nice. But I would not base my decision on either. You can add the parktronic (sunman) or put rear camera. The keyless go, to me, is only half the deal, it needs remote starting too, but currently not available on any MB.

I can start my surburban 1 block and three stories away and it is nice and cool (South Florida) by the time I get to it. Keyless go = hot car summer, cold car in the winter.

It is all about priorities and based on your priority there is no wrong choice.

- Keyless Go: you can approach your car and open the door without even holding a key. The car sensor shall detect that you have the key and the door will be automatically accessible. Additionally, it takes a button to start the car in position 1, 2 or 3. So it is more of a convenience feature.

- Parktronic: It is both aiding and accident prevention feature. If you are really a good driver and parallel parking is something you manage with your eyes closed then you don't need it. If not, then a scratchless regular entry car is always better than a scratched keyless entry car.

The key never leaves your pocket, it is great if you are carrying things as you don't have to find your key e.t.c., you just pull on the door or trunk handle and hey presto!! it opens!!!

....also, parktronic can be retro fitted quite easily....whereas a retro fit on keyless is more difficult and expensive.

....get the one with the keyless and get parktronic retro fitted!!!........that way you get Angelina and Charlize, at the same time!!!!
