Still can't believe in So Cali that the DTM is still sitting back there. I could see up here, but in the land of bling?? Wonder why no takers??

Perhaps I should clarify my previous post:
THAT PARTICULAR CAR is in the country as DEALER-DISPLAY ONLY. It is not for sale.
I believe that if the owner of that car - or someone whom had the authority to sell it - wished to sell it to a buyer in the US that they would have to export the car back out of the country, and then re-import it under something like Show and Display.
Those whom I know who have road-legal imported CLK DTM Coupes have had them imported - and converted - under Show and Display. I believe that this is the exact circumstance with the individual in AZ.

This particular CLK-DTM is under Show&Dispaly. It has been driven a number of times. As a matter of fact it will likely be at this Saturday's Crystal Cove meet.

Better than SLR to drive or no??? Better meaning faster, more responsive, better handling, seat of pants dyno etc....
If you haven't driven them both, I know someone there has.

I've driven the CLK DTM, but have yet to drive the SLR.
All I can say is: Hell Yeah! The CLK DTM genuinely sets your pants on fire. Well, it did to my pants. And I think it'll be a cold day in hell before anyone mistakes it for a riced up CLK200.

Being that you have a CLK DTM can you please take photos of the shock towers and the camber plates?
I need to source these items for a project. You are the only forum member with a car so please take a second to photograph the top if the tower with a close up on the plates. Also looking for photos of the lower control arms.

I never understood "market adjustments." At 191k the dealer is making almost 20k. Sure, there might be people who will pay the mark up, but how many of those will wake up after the honeymoon and realize they got screwed? To me, it just seems like bad business sense to risk alienating the few who would drop 200k on a car because I want to double my profit margin.
I hope the dealers with insane markups get stuck with these cars when the new-cool factor drops off and have nobody to sell them to, ala the Ford GT. It's sweet justice that there's two pages of them on eBay, many of them brand spanking new.
