Here's how you do it. Snag a set of drag radials or another ultra sticky tire. If you can't get them in time, at least work on your launches (perfect the quick but smooth pedal to the floor technique) and you have a fighting chance.
Z06's are SOB's to launch so if you get a good launch, you've got him. Any other type of race .....er ehhhhhhh.....

Bone stock C6 Z's are running high 10's low 11's in the 1/4 mile with trap speeds close to 130mph.

Oh heck yeah, i forgot that part. Get a RENNTEch stage 2 (like me) and get some drag radials. You'll walk him on the street. Try to find a road that has lots of dips, too. i killed my buddy in his Z06 (I'm still stock by the way) from a dig to 150mph on a two lane road that is not at all smooth. He gave up (practically) at 140 and later said his car was bouncing all out of control.

Check out my thread on a Z06 I raced...it wasnt a new C6, but a C5. I left the traction control on and nutted the gas. I have a CL600, but its the same HP rating as your S55 and probably similar weight as well.

Sorry, taught it was a c5. Still with stage 5 and drag radials he will hold his own. It all about the lauch and since his friend just got the car, he might have a problem with wheel spin.
