Had some fun this weekend. Here are some videos of the action. (Thanks Josh-you da man!)

This run was between a modded Ford Lightning and a Bolt on TA. They were stopped ready to go. I was trying to get into position in the 3rd lane. While I was staging, they took off. It took me a minute to get into it but once I did you can see the results. I had the windows down and 4 people in the car.

The next one is two views of the E55 going up against a stock C5 Z06 and the same bolt on TA. Again, I still had 4 people in the car.

I'll have some more video coming, including me getting "worked" by a full race, 10 sec Mustang (that's 10 secs. in Vegas at altitude!)

How about this for fair. Video shot from a legit. 10 sec Mustang running on slicks. As you can see, he's got a pretty good jump but once we hit about 80 mph, he stops pulling. The blue Camaro is a totally built 396, N/A, also with slicks and full drag suspension. His car would hang pretty good but we still managed a slight pull through the entire race.

Thanks. Now that the weather is cooling down there will be more videos coming. The Mustang is wicked and the driver is one of the best in So. Nevada. Good dude. We have a TNT at the local drag strip this Wed. evening and I want to take my car out. If I do, I'll get some more video but I do have a scheduling conflict-Fall choir concert for my daughter. Blasted kids anyway!

I'm also hoping that those who come up for the SEMA show may want to go out and roll with some of the locals. If so, we'll definitely have several video cameras.

Great Videos! What mods do you have? I enjoy giving it to my brother who is a die hard Z06 fanatic. I'd like to show him what a pig the C5 is.

I have a RennTech Stage 5 (ECU, Pulley, Throttle Body, Headers & Airbox). I'll be getting it dyno'd this weekend so I'll post the graph. I'm anxious to see what it's putting down.

The C5 Z06 is no slouch. They are strong in the middle and all the way to the top. I raced a modded C5 Z06 a couple of weeks ago. He had full exhaust, intake, short throw shifter, DR's and nitrous. I pulled him pretty good from about a 20 mph roll (3 runs) however, when we went from a dig, he got me by 3 cars right off the bat. When I started to pull he let out of it.

It will be interesting to see the difference in power between our two cars on Saturday being that we basically have the same mods with the exception of the airbox and yours being Renntech and mine Kleemann.

Agreed, but don't you have the I/C pump as well? It will also be interesting to see how they compare to the stock E55 on the same dyno on the same day. I can hardly wait. By the way, I get my new grille tomorrow. No more jacked up grille!

I do have the I/C pump mod but no airbox... we'll probably be pretty close in power.

Did you just get a stock grill or something different? I actually just ordered the SL-style grill (4 fins, no chrome in black) to replace my stock grill.

depending on how the chrome star looks, it might eventually get painted black.

I love it. I really like the large star in the center of the grille. I've read that some think it doesn't belong on the E55 but I think it looks great. Can hardly wait to see that on your ride.
