2020 GTR Roadster, 2020 GT63S
It will be a 2008, and I'm told as early as May / June timeframe. Dealers are taking orders, but there are no details in the MB order system. They can take "to be spec'd" orders for "named" customers; they can not yet order for stock.
I ordered mine "blind."

That's like saying why does MB make an S550 and an S600?
In fact, the S63 and S65 are even wider apart in pricing/position than the 550 and 600.
Or looking at it another way, without the S63 there is a huge gap in the AMG sedan models between the E63 and the S65. You can buy two E63's for the price of an S65. The S63 fits nicely about halfway in between.
