I am noticing the lack of staggered wheels and tires in the rear of the S 63. Same was the case with the one example test driven by the Mercedes Magazine. What gives?

Winter tyre setup? Not uncommon in Germany this time of year.

Strange comparison though.

This must be a heck of a car, remember now we are talking S class which hardly seems fair to toss it onto a twisty track with a 997 turbo. Too bad I have no clue what was narrated. The weight difference between the two is staggering. So it is strange indeed.

I have to agree; what an odd pair to compare.......

What's next, an EVO vs G55 AMG?

Cayenne Turbo
Short translation!!!!

The comparison is because the cost almost the same, only 700 Euro difference. On the other hand this two car have to be beaten by the concurrenten nowadays, because they are the most powerful cars in their class!!! (S65 cost more...)

Short review of what we already know of the cars....

Conclusion: S63, even with AMG package, will never be a sportscar.
997TT is amazing as it is...

Of course the fact they can even try to compare a full-size sedan to a new 911 Turbo says something all on its own, I've owned a 997TT and give it a 10 of 10, the S63 is bad *** as well, the black one in the photo above is the ticket, what a freakin' car!

In The Netherlands a new S65 AMG will go for €295K (without any options). At the current exchange rate €/$ that would be around US$ 390K.
