Volkswagen did it with a Phaeton, but you can do it yourself on an Lincoln Towncar, check on this:

Build your own Flying Spur:

I saw something like that listed on ebay once. It was some American car that had been converted in to a R129 SL. So pathetic.

Huh? Shouldn't it be the kid giving respect to the adults, not the other way around? I think the word you wanted was "pity".

My dad was in a similar position recently. He had a 2005 S55 and was looking for his new car. Basically the options were an S65 or a Flying Spur. He came to the conclusion that the S65 was the right car very quickly. Basically he LOVED his S55, so getting another MB was something he always thought he would do. Plus he's tried the Bentley before and found it to be very nice, but not very sport, to soft, etc. He does quite a bit of long driving down to the US, and he loved the 55 for that too, so the 65 he felt would be just as good if not better, plus the V12 would add extra smoothness.

I think he may get the Bentley for his next car or when he retires, but right now it wasnt the right car for him. He wanted something sporty, but still large and good on long drives. Plus, he doesnt want to show off, and the S65 although its about $250,000CAN (fully loaded) if you don't know what it is you won't be able to tell it apart from a regular S, which is somthing he likes.
