FS is super luxurious inside and the quality feel is in almost every detail - the S65 is nice inside but the materials and appointments are more functional than luxrious in my opinion - but still very nice inside.
I see the FS as a older mans car and the S65 as a slightly younger target market.
Tough choice... if he has not had a Bentley before - I would say Bentley - if he has had one before then I would say S65
If he likes givin' it some gas then the S65 - if he potters around then the FS.

Both cars are nice but if he wants to lose 100k in the first 2 years of ownership get the Benz. Been there done that. The 65's are awesome but the depreciation is insane.

I've seen both on the roads around NJ...
see a S65..--->
see a Bentley FS--->
IMO there is NO serious consideration between the two, hands down Bentley...you wont take a HUGE hit as with the 65...you wont have a car that to the normal joe looks like any other new S...and you have probably one of the most luxurious cars for the price tag
or as Jim Jones would say...

i don't know wtf is this guy talking about s 65 looks much better outside , i think chrysler 300c looks better than bentley , its so not muscular , im not trying to defend a benz but for me bentley is like lincoln town car , i would never buy it , the interior looks too English for me , i don't know i work near a lot of businesess and bunch of gt's and sp's are there and it doesnt show too much attention at all liek maserati would , s65 looks awesome with the amg bodykit , and big rims and when you sit inside its like a spaceship so stylish , he should deff test drive both cars and it's rare as **** and for the people who's saying O it lost so much money for two years , thats because the new s and cl came out , sl lost 50 000 for two years wich is not that bad at all for an exotic car and it will keep this price for few more years i would get either the Maserati or the s65

Two very different cars. I was able to drive both the Flying Spur and the Continental GT last year and I have also driven the S550 although not the new 600 or 65AMG. Overall I wasn't blown away by the Bentleys. They are very nice looking inside, and I liked the sedan better than the coupe, but I still think that a W221 S-Class is a much better car. Also I think the technology in the S-Class is second to none and even though its the most advanced, its also easy to use.
It also depends what kind of guy and what kind of business your father is in. A Bentley will attract more attention than the S65, and that can be good or bad depending on what his intentions are. Where you live of course will determine how much attention the car gets as well.

Everything depends on what you expect. Both are very luxurious, Benz is more sophisticated and Bentley is more classic. It's difficult to choose between the two because only few have the opportunity to drive a Bentley. If you get the Bentley, you would sacrifice the technologies that Benz has. Overall, I would choose the Benz because it has class and also advanced technologies. That's just my opinion.

Bentley Flying Spur, is a very nice car, engineered & designed well and its also very limited in numbers & so if U get one U'll stand out in the croud..but Merc is no different, its a king in its class & most advanced is all aspects..S65 is very powerful too..hence my option goes for the S-class at any time..

For your personal enjoyment= S65
For everyone else's enjoyment= Bentley
I've driven the Continental GT and was astounded with how boring it was. Heavy, lumbering, complete lack of personality. I'd take my Mom's mini cooper over it for driving experience.
Then of course there's your wallet you have to worry about. How about this? Get the Bentley first, see if it fits your lifestyle. If things don't work out, you can always swap it for an S65. Bents don't depreciate too steeply, AMG's do.

Wow!! tough decision...we recently had the pleasure of working on both w221 chasis and a Flying spur on the same day. The tech says he gets more looks from younger girls in the w221 vs. more mature women in the Spur.
PS: And by the way, we do tuning for Bentleys too!!

in pictures but not in real life. s65 although a great car ,the regular joe can have an s550 with the sport package and nobody on earth can tell them appart "except those who know". i have had the oppurtunity to drive both. s65 is a killer car with a bad as engine and tech,love the way the seats and suspension works but for that type of money the flying spur gives you some type of swager when you are in and walking away from the car that cannot be match by any benz. leather so soft and gauges that just look expensive. i stay in miami and benz's are just regular cars down here. every body and they moma has got them. from c 240 to certified preowned, dawged out s classes, prices ranging from 5k to 30k making the regular person who has a few dollars fell like they somebody. bentley has great performance, smooth, quiet and has that wow factor. pictures do not do the car justice.

speed...btw is the S-65 AMG the fastest 4 door car in the world?

I hate the fact that it looks like a old mans car, or some rappers dream ride, the MERCEDES looks insane, it looks as if its moving while its standing still. Love the new s class body. Hey cylinder head whats your take on this. loll

lol you cracking a joke? ...Ive always loved 4 door cars, due to the fact of it being relaxing and just plain easy, im not a speed freak but at the same time i do like it, down here traffic is a *****, so cruise control has got my back for life, with massaging seats. I mean atm my s600 is kinda dying on me, i feel like the engine is bout to fall off... and im trying to convince my dad to get me a S65..., btw what is the price range for S65 & CL65?
