My S63 is built! -- best guess on when it will arrive to central TX?
Got a call from my salesperson today to let me know that my S63 completed build yesterday. Obsidian black on black, all options except 030. Unfortunately, he has no clue about how long until it will ship, how long it will be on the water, which port it's going into, etc.
What's your best guess as to when it will arrive to my dealer in Austin? I've done a few searches here but can't seem to find info on average time from build to arrival at the dealership.

Congratulations!!! I can't wait to see pictures.
My car build was completed Mar 8. It arrived at port (Baltimore) on April 3. And I took delivery April 5 (that's in northern Virginia).
Do you have your VIN? If so, you can track your car on the shipping site after the car has been booked by them, which may be a week or more after the car is completed.

I saw a post about how a guy tracked the car from port to port. he found out what boat its on and you can track ships somehow on the internet. i think it was a guy in the cls 55 forum.

You can do that with BMWs and Mercedes through Wallenius Wilhemsen:

Just put in your VIN and you can get the ship and then you can track progress of the ship from port to port. You can do this visually also through one of the ship tracking sites.

Agreed. Our ML320CDI was built since August, but we could not get it until after October 15 because that was the official release date. Mind you, our car was built in Alabama of all places!
Congrats on your S63, though. I'm debating whether or not to pull the trigger on one now that I sold my E55.

Got the VIN and full info sheet. The sheet lists one optional accessory with no description, "K12". Anyone know what this is?
Ack. What is the official release date? I will be very sad if the car comes in while I'm out on travel the last two weeks of June

My car (same exact colors) was supposed to be built this week, but i decided to add the 030 performance package after seeing it at the NY car show, and that moved me back to a May 20 build date
I was told 6 weeks from build to delivery, and that no cars would be released by MBUSA until June 1 anyway

I hear you on the pricing. I spoke to MBUSA and they assured me that the pricing on the performance package here would be reasonable given that it is cosmetic only (basically wheels + lacquer wood) as opposed to the SL, E class etc. that get new spoilers, brakes, suspension etc. Still, what is reasonable is subject to interpretation .... i've been hoping for around $5k, which would still be a lot since the wheels are only a $2000 option in europe and the lacquer wood <$1,000. We'll see, i'm sure I'll be surprised in a bad way

I got all the paperwork on mine, today. It finished production today (4/27). Iridium Silver with all options, including 030.
I also have the "K12 NO DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE" listing under "Optional Accessories." No one at my dealership has any clue what it is, either. Also still no prices. 
According to my dealer, it should hit the shipping port some time late next week. Then, it's 3 - 4 weeks before it arrives at my dealership, in California. I'm told there is an "outside chance" it will be here for the official launch date - which I'm told is June 1. More likely, it will be here the 2nd week of June. Like Paul, I am going to be gone for the last two weeks of June, so I am hoping I get to drive it a little before I leave.

I just received the VIN number for my 2008 S63. I entered it in the Carge Staus History and see that is on the Tarago.
How do I watch the progress of that ship as it travels towards Baltimore.

Pricing showed up today
I wish I had a scanner. My salesperson gave me a printout for the S63 with pricing included. Every option is exactly $7,777 and the base price is $444,444 for a grand total of $487,104.
Not to knock the S63, but I'm not sure how MB is going to sell many of these when you could get an S65 _and_ and SL65 for less money
More seriously, mine is due in to Florida by 5/18. However, my dealer _still_ can't get even a hint on release date.
