S63 First Service
I read somewhere that there is a first complementary service between 1 and 3K. I'm at 1200 (was away for 2 weeks). Has anyone taken their's in yet ?

Hey Eddie, I got a letter from my dealer letting me know that I should bring the car in for a service appointment at 1k miles. I recall the letter mentioning something about checking the motor and a full systems check. I am going to bring mine in next week as I am just at 1k miles. I'll let you know what they do.

Thanks noxxin - interestingly on the ride in this am got a message to check oil level at next refueling. Oil temperature seems fine. I'll have it checked tonight. I'll also schedule an appointment and talk to my service advisor.

All MB's have an initial complimentary service at 1-3k miles. They get plugged into the computer and it allows the car to tell if there are any alignment/electronic issues that need to be adjusted.

As said by Txhurdle...your first service (at 1k-2k miles) is complimentary. They basically check over all the moving parts and make sure everything is functioning properly...congrats on the S63, it's a badass ride

Follow-up on the check oil level - took her to the dealer - seems she was down a quart - they said not unusual with my driving habits ;-), since it has a dipstick - I suggest you guys just check your level, unless you've taken it in for the first service.

They fill them. The 63 engines burn quite a bit of oil during break-in, so keep your eyes on the level.
My 65 went through five or six quarts during the first 10,000 miles. I have been pleasantly surprised that the oil consumption has dropped considerably since then. It's down .3 quart in the last 1,500 miles.
BTW, is it true that there is no oil level display in the cluster anymore? Also, I use the hidden menu (the one you call up on the W220 by triple-clicking the reset button) to get to the accurate oil level display (in tenths of a quart). Is that gone on the W221? Does it work on the S63?
