Early Production CL63 & S63 did not get certain standard features.

Early Production CL63 & S63 did not get certain standard features.
To all that have taken delivery of their S63 & CL63. We did not get the following standard features:
-Real Time Traffic Functionality
-Birds Eye View Map Display
-DVD (Video) Playback Capability in Head Unit
-Audio/Video Auxiliary Inputs in Glove Box
We received a credit of $500 and a $435ish IPOD integration cable.
I have notified the dealership that I am not happy and was not notified of the missing features. Nor was I given the chance to wait for the Sept delivery option as stated in the attached document.
I have escalated this with local management and they have reached out to the allocation group at MB to find out what the options are.
I hope it is a software upgrade and not a computer swap. Either way I hope I will not incur additional expenses.
If anyone has any additional feedback/information please respond. I will keep all posted on my progress.

I won't use (or pay for) Real Time Traffic info, and don't see myself EVER watching a DVD while sitting in my car. The Bird's Eye view option for navigation is nice, but I can certainly live without it.
The real complaint you have is with your dealer. All of us who have purchased the "early" delivery cars - at least those on these forums - were aware of the issue. My dealer called me, faxed me the document from MBUSA, and offered to let me order one for August build, if I wanted to. Many others had the same offer.
I don't know if you pre-ordered, or bought from stock. If you pre-ordered, you have a complaint - with your dealer, not MB. If you bought off the showroom floor, they should have told you - again, your complaint is with your dealer, not MB.
In any case, you have an amazing car. Enjoy it, and "Don't sweat the small stuff."

Srice - I pre ordered the car and was expecting the options. I did not notice it on the stick or more to the point I did not understand the window sticker.
I was not notified or given an option. I would agree on the problem with the dealer and that is the road I am taking.
Their response was that I should be getting an upgrade but I am in waiting for verification and something in writing.
All-in-all i love the car but it is one of those principle things that will continue to bug me until I have a path for resolution (one way or the other).

Hammer on the dealer if they said you would get an upgrade. I think we would all like it, if it can be done. (I doubt it, since there are hardware pieces - AV inputs, DVD slots, etc. - that we don't have, but maybe we can get the birds-eye view on the Nav.) Your dealer owes you big-time for not disclosing this to you. If you want to complain to MBUSA, I think you have a legitimate beef about your dealer.

I agree fully with SRICE. From what i am told this is not a simple upgrade matter or MB would have gone that path with all the cars. I deferred on a May 20 production date to get a fully featured later car. At any rate, were you not aware that your car was discounted and had the extra IPOD cable thrown in?? I agree that your gripe should be with your dealer, virtually everyone else here was notified of the problem
