Any S65's out there - ?
I haven't driven an S63, but I own an ML63, so I have some familiarity with that engine and transmission. I bought the S65 because I needed a 4-door car that has strong acceleration at any speed. Do I really need that? No, but I wanted it. The 63 is a great engine that develops thrust at higher rpm's, and there is more shifting that goes on with the 7-speed. The 65 has torque almost anywhere in the power band and it's there right now, instead of needing to downshift a couple of gears to get the engine higher in the power band. And, I think the Mercedes 5-speed is a little better sorted out than the 7-speed.
I'll try to post some more observations with pics when I get a block of time to do it.

I think when he got home he torched his car.

Did you debadge 65? Able (politically) to commute to office in a new 65 in Zurich?
Welcome your observations re: car culture diffces btwn Zurich and SiliconValley.....my uninformed sense is that Zurich/Munich, etc are akin to US industrial Midwest, e.g., Chicago, w/a more conservative consumption culture in one's home city....but many affluent car guys in Chicago simply get wkend houses in LA to keep their more interesting cars in a more consumption-friendly culture/climate/topography.....is Zurich similar?
