suspension auto adjust

Does anyone have any idea why my 03 s55 suspension would adjust by itself, when I am not even doing anything? I just let the car running with my kids sitting inside and every once in a while, the shocks would move.

I've had it happen once with my previous S430 with ABC. I was on the phone for some time (the car was on a slant) and all of a sudden the car would "correct it's possition". Never happened again (S55, SL55, S430 w/ABC). But then again I never stood still with the engine running for such a long time...

This frequently happens with my 03 55 too. My guess is it is normal.

s55 abc

I guess its not normal for the car to go up and down like that. I took it in to the dealer and they told me that the abc valve block(s) needs to be replaced, and that will cost me $3600. Apparently its happened to alot of vehicles with abc. MB needs to do something about this to satisfy their many faithful customers.

self-adjust

My wife drives a 2006 R500. It too will self-adjust after the kids get out. My guess is that there is a sensor that causes the adjustment when a predetermined weight is off the car.
