I have often heard rumors of AMG performing tune-ups for 65 models that bring the power up to 700 hp, for extra $$. A similar upgrade is rumored for regular 600 models, bringing the power up to 600 hp. Is there some truth to this? In case it is so, how much does this cost? I assume this would be in line with custom setups they already do when it comes to removing limiters and installing performance packages. I am also curious if they uprate the running gear as well, change the wheel setup, etc!

this does not happen in the US, in europe yes, here no....dont ask me how i got mine its a long story and it cannot be replicated, unfortunately

not for "european delivery" only for cars that have been purchased overseas, this usually come from AMG Manufaktur which will basically do whatever you want to your car.

When you are in russia I believe it shouldn't be a problem to give your
car the special AMG treatment, because they have a lot of customers from
Moscow and Petersburg. Just ask some of your buddies or the biggest
dealership that is around, they should have the answer how to get your
car to AMG.

well that is a problem because i am not in a moscow or st. petersburg and where i live there is only one MB dealer and he doesn't know much about the amg but i'll try to talke to them anyway... thanks

You would need to go to AMG in Affalterbach anyway so your local MB guys aren't of much help anyway.

If you are interested call AMG and ask for a quote on what you want. They'll do anything to your car as long as you pay, and as long as the modified car will obey local laws. The latter won't be a problem in Russia I reckon
