Stock S65 Dyno vid

Hey, thought you guys might want to see this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABBoK...elated&search=

Amazing. If I'm right, thats about 675hp/820 tq at the crank!!! M-B seriously under-rates. Now I have a question that I've been meaning to ask: does this mean all the power claims that the tuners claim are higher as well? And also, there is a thread here where someone dyno'd his 600, and put to the wheels what M-B said at the crank. So that means about 610 hp/710 tq. Insane! Does this mean also that M-B is lying about the tranny? They claim it can only handle 738 tq, but obviously that's not true if 65s make 820. All this is very interesting, and it shows, of course, that M-B makes the craziest stock engines ever!

They have only reached the tip of the iceberg my friend. I believe the next "bi-turbo" V8's will top the V12, then who knows what will happen with the dual ignition engines...

What driveline % loss are you using? 18% for automatics is a very generous rule of thumb used in the industry, which equates to 654.87 HP 797.56 Torque @ the Crank still very stout Doing the math looks like your using 21.5% loss way too high.

Not that over rated from fact specs....
Engine
6.0L Twin 604 hp gas Standard

Number of cylinders: 12

Number of valves: 36

Camshaft: Single overhead cam (SOHC)

Horsepower: 604 hp @ 4800 rpm

Torque: 738 ft-lbs @ 2000 rpm

Acutally, I read that Renntech did some tests and found it to be like 21%. Also, I rounded a bit Still amazing power though. But does that still mean that the tranny is more tough than we thought?

My 65 stock made 552whp but the tranny is rated at 840lbft from what I recall and I think that is the truth. Vadim could chime and and correct me if I am wrong.

Look at the plate.

It is a "MFG" car. Most likely it is "ringer".

Out of three stock 65s I have dynoed, they were all right at around 500 RWHP.

This only proves that Dyno is not that accurate way of measure real power.
It´s good to check before and after upgrades, and even so, nothing like real world driving or a trip to the dragster circuit to check if your chip + Exhaust gives the +130hp that your tuner claims
