value of this 2005 S55

I found a 2005 S55 at a local MBZ dealer with the following specs.

2005 S55

+ Flint Grey / Charcoal
+ 24,000 miles, 1 owner california car
+ Parktonic
+ Distronic
+ Phone with Voice comand
+ rear side sunshade
+ keyless go
+ auto trunk closer (not sure if this is standard on S55)

This is at a MBZ dealer in So. Cal

What would be a good deal for this car?

Any one know what this car would go for at Mainheim auction?

Thank you for your feedback

I'll guess that it's rare that a 3 yr old S55 becomes available with that kinda mileage. I've checked around, and it looks like the '05 S55 with the lowest mileage coming up in the next week or so has 33K miles, with an asking price of 43.8 (Manheim AA in PA). There's one coming up at the Riverside AA in Cali, but it's got 48K miles on it.

Does this help?

Thank you for your feedback. I can get this car from MBZ dealer at $49k w/o extended warranty. They'll sell me CPO warranty for $1595 first year, $3995 for additional two years.

Car appears clean with some curb rash on the wheels and minor scratches on rear bumper.

Is $49k a fair price for this car? Thank you for your feedback.

$49K for the S55, I' say that's pretty good, but I would try to negotiate more on the price . That's just me... Good Luck...

Does it has rear seat package as well ? I just bought mine in October 43K black/black for $52,000. I think I over paid by at least $5,000. But then it was worth every peny. I have exactly the same options including the rear seat package. The distronic aka active cruise control is AWSOME. I love using it on highway's.

This does not have rear seat package nor the 4-zone climate control. It seems to have everything else including the phone and voice control.

I bought it for $49k + warranty $1595 for CPO first year 100k, $3995 for additonal 2 years. I think the warranty are overpriced but I have option of returning them and get full money back. It's hard to find aftermarket warranty for it. MSRP on this car was a little over $120k in 2005. Love the distronic. I love the car so far and it's in pretty good condition.

I think you got a great deal. I was (not now) going to sell my 2004 S55. It is white which is a little harder to find and I only have 26,000 miles. I had a guy come with check in hand for $53,000. I do not have distronic or parktronic but the car is nothing shy of perfect brand new condition. I decided not to sell it because I just LOVE this car. I would part with it ONLY if I can find a 2006 S65 in white. No such luck for last 4 months, maybe I never will. Anyway, I hope you enjoy that car as much as I love mine

I love the S55 so far. I have almost of 4 years left on warranty (factory runs out in December and I bought 3 more years CPO). I know the CPO isn't great but it's a piece of mind for expensive repairs. I think market value of W220 S class is soft and current gas price in CA does not help either. I'm very happy with the car but thinking of returning extra 2 year CPO warranty ($3995).

2005 S55 AMG
I purchased a 2005 S55 with 44k on it about two weeks ago.

The car for the dollars spent is outstanding.

At the present time I'm just doing the routine maintenance which the previous owner never did.

The brakes new front rotors and new pads front and back, all filters, wiper blades, new belts and new tires BFG Gforce super sport AS.

I've owned other S class cars and this one is the best over-all for performance and class rolled into one.

Can I ask how much are the brakes? Did you do pads only or pads/rotor? Dealer pricing or independent MBZ shop, if you did your self any suggestions on where to buy parts?
