s55 Summer Tires
Will 275/40-18 fit on the rear wheels of an S55? The Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position, which is ranked highly on tirerack, only comes in this size...not 265's. Anyone have any experience with this tire on the S55?

2007 S 600 / '06 911 Porsche C4S cab
I had Bridgestone Potenza (RE050a) on my '06 911 and they were fine.
Quiet, good grip, good in the rain. (they were 305/30/19's) and I would imagine they'd be good on the MB.
Don't know how they compare to Pirelli Rossos, or Michelin's though.
Maybe someone else does....

Hey HotRod-Realtor, was the 30K mile warranty offered by Bridgestone? Or Discount?
I just read my warranty and it says "No treadwear" warranty.
I went through the rears (RE050 Y rated) in less than 10K miles.
I am running on slicks now and want to replace them. Plenty of tread left on the fronts, so I'll just get rears.
I bought these from a local Bridgestone/Firestone dealer, and am planning to go back with the, "WTF? I only got 10K miles out of these" and ask for some sort of adjustment on replacements.
So did you have a manufacturer's warranty for 30K miles treadwear? Or was it a seller's warranty (a la Discount Tire's)?
