Well I finally bought myself a 2004 Mercedes S55 AMG supercharged, in black 
I cannot express just how pleased I am with it, and it has my favourite engine from the whole AMG range.
Just wanted to say hello, your forums looks very friendly

Great car. I agree that the 55K engine is one of their best efforts. I love my '03 SL55. It has been with me since new, and I can't see it going away!

Well thank you very much for your warm welcomes!! I will post some pictures of the Mercedes tomorrow, providing I get home from work at a reasonable time.
Already I love this car, I am even considering selling my 3.0 Audi A4 TDI and using this as my full time car...
Sound 8.... From what I heve heard the V12 in the 600 is much smoother, and the ride is more subtle than in the 55 AMG. Both are fantastic cars, and the 55 that I have certainly rides very comfortbly on the motorway, and when you floor it you get that nice V8 roar. I have not properly driven a 600, but I tested a 500 and it was a totally different machine from the 55.

the engine off but it's ticking over. I would like a little more burble to the exhaust. Unfortunately the cost of the whole kit is about 8 grand.

I would love to put the AMG body on my S600, and the wheels you can even get the rear exhaust. The 600 is incredibly smooth I often think I have turned
the engine off but it's ticking over. I would like a little more burble to the exhaust. Unfortunately the cost of the whole kit is about 8 grand.Attachment 140232
