WOW those M3's are fast!
But not as fast as the old luxury barge S55. Had a Navy cadet today in Maine try and play at 50 MPH and up. No luck for him. He was just amazed that such a huge car slapped him so!

They are quick but 333hp is still not good to take us. Even modded.

It was foolish for the M3 to attempt to race you on a highway or a straight away. He would be dead meat...... and he was!
I much prefer to lure cars into a joust on a windy road... that way its not down to hp, it's about skill! And Maine has some great roads!

Well it was all him who wanted to play. I was just minding my own business on rte 1 and he flung himself behind me. So I let him pass by me(2 lane) and then I heard him grab a lower gear. Well stupid him there was still a car in front of him. So I pulled in behind him dropped it into 2nd about 50-55 or so then that car moved and I heard him grab that gear again and poof smoke from his quads. So I gave it a stab and I nearly bumped into him I laid on the horn and dropped the throttle. I thought he was done but I was wrong. So I pulled along side him after he moved over and here he goes again. So I gave him a second or two then nailed it and flung right up along side him honked gave him a thumbs up and then passed his *ss. He had that look on his face like what the f*ck that car is huge and it just passed me in my M3! I do not know much at all about M3's but it was a newer one and he tried real hard.

I'd love to have one of those 55's therefore i had to get the 500's for insurance purpose!!!!! insurance is killing me. so if i want to go fast i got a 188RWH 06GSXR1000 , got her up to 196MPH once before. sounds fast but the way it gets there bugs me man.lol

Fast is relative.... If you are talking about a straight line, or through the corners. Anyone can mash the throttle and hold on, but to me driving is more about connecting with the car and the road.
I am ultimately quicker with the SL55 because of 550 hp and a great chassis/tires/brakes, but when I bring the M3 to the track I have hounded and passed everything from Porsches, to Ferrari's and Lamborghini's.... unfortunately there haven't been any other AMGs to harass!

I had and 03 745i, and 04 645ci, man what f**** disaster with this BMW's, i UPGRADE TO A 03 S500 AND 04 SL500. BIG DIFFERENCE. lesson learned!!!!!!

Mercedes S55 AMG
I have an 01 S55 with the N/A Engine, 354hp. I raced an M3 in a straight (The older e46 one) and we were about even as it was from a roll, he was slightly faster if anything - so I'm sure the supercharged S55 would really beat it.
Now, the newer e92 M3's are definitely faster, so I'm not sure how that stacks up with the Supercharged S55. (Would beat me easily with my N/A though)

Raced a 09 M3 ...in my 126k mile S55
on the highway ....I pulled this guy 2-3 cars from 50-60 and
then I let him get ahead of me by about 8-10 cars and then I reeled him in and passed him up....oh and I played with him a little between cars as well...personally I wasn't impressed....
