Wow and I thought I had it bad with 120 to 180 % import duty rates. We all know that cars aren't investments but, you guys are loosing half the value of your ride in 18 months. I guess the really smart thing is to buy used with really low miles.

I would figure my S63 (same specs as yours) would likely sell for about 95 on a lot. So back out the costs of tires, brakes (not cheap), cleaning, cpo certification etc and they should pay you about 85k.
72 is very low but 100k dreams are just those.
The car market is tanking every day and to hold a car like that in inventory is just a way to go broke in 2 weeks time. It will fall likely 10k in value before they can sell it. Thats likely why they offered you so little. They need to cover their rears for the likely continued downward spiral in used car values. Dealerships cant keep up with the latest used car value figures these days.

MB Financial is going to take a serious financial hit when all these AMG's get returned from thier leases. Take a look at your residual value compared to current value. Mine is already worth less than the residual - and I have 11 months left on my lease. Can you imagine how much more depreciation there will be over the next year? Ouch!
