It's a hard 4347 miles ,no proper breaking in for that car.
Don't do it,you can find a brand new car for that money or less.

be real wary of a "demo" car. This tells me the dealership owner, service manager, sales manager, and at least 15 buyers have dogged this car out. It can take it but like someone said above its the hardest 4k miles it will ever see.

calm down & look on Ebay, or just google it. Consumer Reports has a service that tells you what that car is really worth: 866-350-7996 & it's $14 bucks . Knowledge is power - & I'll bet that car's worth around $20,000 less than sticker - probably more! I paid over $25,000 off sticker for my car w/ 1,270 miles on it. Good Luck Man !!

Don't buy the car! Only 4k off msrp for a used car? The dealer is going to be laughing all the way to the bank!

Good Luck.

$40K off

I bought a brand new 09 SL63 IWC for $40k off last month. $ 4k off on a used S63 is not a good deal

dont be dumb

buy a 2008 s65 for $100k or a 2007 for $85k

your car will be worth less then $100k by next year....may as well gamble the money away.....

a S63 is a joke....it should be s550 or s65 ...that is it.....the engine does not belong in the car as a performance engine....the 5.5 is enough power but the s65 is perfect for the performance level

I was also offered a brand new S63 for about $40K below MSRP. Your deal is beyond terrible. Run away as fast as you can.

Dont do it. The 63 engine in the S-class is a mistake. For the money, you can get a nice S65 or get crazy with a S600(renntech, carlsson, etc etc).

The S63 is slow and doesnt have anything more than the S600 or S65.

Is this correct? I've got an S65 and have never driven an S63 but I'd always thought the S63 had plenty of go.

It's all relative...

Had '08 CL63 030 and '07 CL600 before 65 (and had '07 SL65 in more distant past)

63 has more useable, smooth tq delivery than a 599 (had an '07 599)

But, in a direct comparo vs 65, 63 is incredibly tq-inadequate on any fast urban CA fwy that stresses tq (esp while one is on Bluetooth; late to a mtg; and wants effortless point-and-shoot accel)

Given the phenomenal balance of tq/traction I've found in '09 CL65 (hated poor trac of '07 SL65), only car I can enjoy driving is another new 65....in my case, '11 S65 Coupe when it arrives in ?Spring '10

Yeah, its correct. The S63 is a nice car, but pulling 5000lbs of metal doesnt compare to the 65 engines. For a naturally aspirated engine, its the best around by a long shot, but the twin turbos of the 65's make the s-class into a Lamborghini hunting rocket ship. So basically, you are dishing out 70-80k for a used s63 and being slower than a cheaper S600 that you can drop a new ECU into and blow the S63 away.

The lighter CLS-class make for a better fit for the 63 engines. The CLS63 goes 0-60 in 4.3 at 4200lbs. Thats quick. And with a cheap ECU tuning program, you are near 4.0 in 0-60 times. RARELY will you come up against someone that can take you down at a red light.

Comparison

I just ran my S65 2006 a couple hundred pounds lighter then the 07-09 at the track it ran 122 mph ......hit 60 mph in 3.2 sec. can beat that AND I just bought the car from my friend who got a great deal but needed a SUV....cant beat the S65's....no way no hell.....

Makes me wonder when a Nice S65 is in the high 30 to low 40k price range why would someone buy a ISF or C63 or E63 or CTS-v? makes no sense....

the car I have has almost 60k miles but looks and runs like 10k....miles mean nothing on a Benz if it is taken care of....

I think the 2006 S65 is bold and has great looks ...and a well built machine....
I have owned 2 07's to compare it to.....dollar for dollar the S65 is unbeatable...

Because not everyone wants to drive a car from 2006 with 60,000 miles on it.
