I have a LET tune on my 600. The power is beyond ridiculous. I have been having a hard time trying to floor the car. I had the PC tune before and I was able to floor the car on different highways around my house daily. Now the acceleration is so sick that I can't even find a long enough stretch to punch it. With the PC tune, I couldn't really spin the wheels if I mashed the pedal going 50. Now the wheels break loose.
To me the PC tune was compareable to all the other tunes out there. Trust me when I say this that the LET tune takes it above and beyond.

I couldn't agree more. Jerry netted me about 160rwtq (845rwtq total) and about 50rwhp (590rwhp total).....my car is ridiculously fast considering it weighs 5k lbs and you put a circus full of people inside of it.

I am new to MB and especially the 65s, so hope this isnt a dumb question, but given the power and lack of an LSD, wouldnt adding an LSD be much more beneficial than adding another 100 hp?

Great point but many owners just slap on some drag radials and do low 11s all day and have a huge smile on their face. Quite a few owners prove you can still launch the high power high torque car from a dig, take Busa for example he layed down 11.59 STOCK and now he's tuned and we can't wait to see what will happen. An LSD still though would be very beneficial to make street power transfer and drag strip launching even better.

another dumb question, but i am assuming that you cant drive on drag radials every day right? so if one was looking to get most bang for the buck on the street, would LSD be a better investment than software? or can you just drive around drag radials? fyi, my car has PS2s in stock size.

E55, Supercharged Z4 (sold)
The E55 guys have found that LSD didn't help at all. I'm not stating this as absolute fact, just what I gathered by searching. I would think the LSD would help more when coming out of a corner rather then straight line acceleration.
I would vote for a tune and maybe wider tires then stock when the time comes which is probably gonna be soon with all that torque and weight

not really. You'll wear them out very quickly. Better off getting a spare set of rims with Drags on them, changing them at the track, chaining your originals to the fence or putting them in a buddy's trunk. If you are talking street racing, then I guess you have to drive around with them and establish a budget for frequent replacement. They just don't corner the same. IMHO.

So if one was looking for the best performance on the street while retaining driveability (in corners, rain etc. w/o breaking the bank), what would be the best approach?

2 W210 E55, CLK 63, S65, Infinity Qx56, Taurus SHO - all heavy moded, Porsche Cayenne Turbo stock
I have LSD on my SCed w210 E55, my wifes CLK, Vadim just installed Kleeman LSD on the S65 he is puting VRP825 package on, and I'm puting one on the another W210 E55 I'm getting from Peter. I would do LSD before anything else for real wworld situations. Then I do suspentions ,brakes and only after that I care about power
