2010 S63 1/4 times ????

i was reading a few online post's and also a magazine add with a posted 1/4 speed of 13.5 ????

what the f*ck is that? $150k car and all that sound from the exhaust and all i get out of it is 13.5sec in the 1/4?

totally not happy. and please don't make stupid remarks like you should of bought a 65, that's bull sh*t! i think $150k and 518hp should bring me at least in the 12.8 12.9 range. yah i understand it's a heavy car but i think i read the new porsche panamara turbo does 11.x !!!! not fair.

Mercedes S55 AMG
Yeah, unfortunately I think it's in the low 13 second range. Interestingly enough, it's predecessor, the s55 AMG, was more or less in that range too. The 63 has more HP, but the car is also much heavier. Weight really makes the difference. You'd have to get one of the other 63's, like the E63, to break into much faster times since they are lighter.

It's still an amazingly fast car though, and a beautiful one at that. I am not sure if the premium the S65 commands is really worth it. In the real world the S63 has more than enough power to put a smile on your face and beat most cars on the road.

Just remember, Mr. Dubz... if you truly want to run fast times, Big wheels almost always slow you down. Nothing funnier than a guy with an srt8 with 22's and neon getting pissed that he ran a 15.1 sec quarter mile. Listen to Juice63 and you'll figure it out...

Here is a test where a 2008 S63 (no mechanical difference from 2010) went 13.0 @ 110mph....I can't think of too many 4,900+lbs cars that can run into the 12s. Yeah, the new X5/6 M and Porsche Cayenne Turbo S can do it....but they are helped greatly by their AWD platforms.

Honestly alot of peeps are getting away from what these cars are , Except for the SL's and the black series these are luxury cars and not super cars . Of course with some modding they get into super car territory but im pretty sure the main reason for purchase was not for the performance .

If you truly wanna run fast times , why didnt you get yourself a Zr1 or a tt porsche ????

the reason why i bought the s63 was for the S class body and i bought the 63 AMG version was because i wanted the performance, yah its quick and it has some get up but not what i expected.

i wanted fast times and a five passenger.
