s55 Warranty providers
I have had GREAT experience with AUL, but they wont touch the AMG cars...
Thanks!
I have heard that as of Jan. 1st they will not do warranties on ABC equipped cars unless they are MY06 or newer.
I looked at the Chrysler warranty page and there was no mention of any exclusions for ABC or anything else...Their maximum plan was approx $3200 for the car I am looking at ...Seems like a good price for peace of mind, provided they will actually come through and not challenge every claim.
I have an AUL warranty for my wife's 2003 Eurovan and they have been great. EV's have about a 50% transmission failure rate so we looked at it like pre-paid service bills. So far, tranny has been great and I have had about $1000 worth of other items repaired...
Thanks again!
This is the post which referenced the change in policy.

Might want to send a message to the poster asking where they got that information, or better still Michael Chase @ Chrysler Factory Plans...
Welcome to the forum
I spoke to the warranty rep this morning and he specifically stated that the ABC is covered...2800 with the 200 deduct, and 3450 with 100 deduct for the 5 year 70,000 mile plan...

It is worth a call to your local MB Dealer, there is always someone who manages the extended warranties and can give you a quote.
Good luck!

Oh, and $3300 for 2yrs isn't quite the same as 5 years
I think I missed out on adding this to my 2000 cl500
if they will allow it im going to get it but I think their policy changed on older cars
so you pay more for a lot less years of coverage, but my understanding is that MB certification is a lot easier to work with, no waiting, no adjusters to deal with, they just pay as if the car was new (there is coverage limitations of course). so it depends on what you want.
i have had good experience with easy care in the past. i am debating on what to do this time around so these threads are useful.
But if you have this coverage and you are happy with it, then so be it.
Any other suggestions for other providers (besides Starmark?) Someone suggested Mercury (?)
Thanks!
