Today I planned in which events I want to participate this year.
Here in germany we have the "race@airport" events.
I looked at the times from last year and couldn't beleave what i saw.
In Leipzig (06.09.2009) on 12nd place: #617 Philipp Hermsdorf Mercedes S-klasse 9,487 s (1st run was 9,548 s)
How can this be? It's much faster then all s-classes at dragtimes.com and it's street legal.
I try to find out the exact model and year.

Not to muck up someone else's thread... but to fully answer your question, go test drive one. Let me put it this way, the CTS-V is like a perfect combination of my old E39 M5 and my CL65. It has amazing handling abilities, a mechanical LSD, incredible seats (with Recaro option), nice interior detailing (suede steering wheel and shifter, stitched leather dash, many higher tech amenities), and tons of low end torque. I could care less about "clout". That same "clout" does nothing but jack up maintenance costs and doesn't seem to help the depreciation free-fall.
I had some expensive maintenance items coming due soon and I test drove the CTS-V on a lark. When I drove it, I was immediately reminded of the type of handling control that my M5 had...except with much higher overall capabilities. When the dealer offered me a trade-in value that was better than some retail prices I had seen for CL65s with similar miles, it became a no-brainer for me.

They featured the CTS on Top Gear and I immediately fell in love with it,
that's why I asked. Unfortunately it only comes in left hand drive , as I
found out the day after Top Gear. It's a word I don't particularly like, but
I think it looks cool. I also congratulate you for buying a home made product
it's something I do every time I fancy a Jag. My post was purposely aimed to
get a response, not to muck up this thread, it was just I love the CTS a lot
and I new you would give me a accurate reply.
