Not the best night to race but felt like a track outing. 80 degrees and a slippery track yielded a best run as follows:
60' 1.9333
330 5.1479
1/8 7.8173@92.54
1/4. 11.9945@119.81
I am pleased with the mph and the potential here. Much better than last time with 5 gallons of 104 unleaded Sunoco. A trip to my favorite MIR soon for a friday night is in order. Tuning soon as this is a good baseline with drag radials.

Let the modding begin!

That is great that you are now DEEP into the 11's!! It is pretty awesome that a bone stock car can run that well. I can't remember what you ran on street tires, but it appears the DR's helped out quite a bit. How was the track prep? Do you think you were still limited a little bit on your 60' by traction?
I am interested to compare your changes in MPH after the 1/8 on street tires vs DR's. If memory serves you ran about 116 or so in the 1/4 on street tires, do you think the 104 octane helped elevate you to 120 or is it from just hooking up with the DR's?
Also did you swap air filters yet?
Thank you very much for the update.

I think track prep was marginal at best. This is absolutely everything that the track would hold with a 1.92 and that isn't great. It should be mid 1.7s. It is nice to go to MIR and leave with the foot on the floor and not have any worries about traction. The only worry is the possibly of breaking parts because of a sticky track. I need to look at my timeslips again to get the 1/8 mile splits on my 12.2@116 on 93 octane and stock tires. I did put the BMC filters in my car too. check out my post concerning the filter screens as they are in the trash can now. I think the 104 octane helped. Hopefully the weather will be better for future runs. I will update the 1/8 mile times when I find my post.

Well done...obviously, I need to get my head to the track now too...getting the itch!
What size DR's did you stuff in there?

How was the off the line traction with this setup? How much wheel spin did you get, and about what speed did you feel you really started taking off?

4 MPH gain in the first 1/8th is impressive. It would be fun to know if to know if the gain came from tires, filters or 104 fuel.
Thanks for the posts.
Thanks for the posts.
The drag radials I used are the same ones that I used on my 03 S600. I use the Mickey Thompson drag radials 265/40-18. I realize that the fronts are 19" but they work fine on the rear. If the track were stickier then I could have left more aggressively and yielded a better 60'. It started taking off immediately and pulled strong on the second 1/8. Tuning is going to help this thing a lot as you can feel little torque management inputs on each shift and the increase in boost will help tremendously. Can't wait to get my favorite company to tune this one.

I think most of it came from the fuel but the inlet screens were fairly obstructed with leaf bits. I doubt it came from tires as the car did not spin that much on street tires and I did get a 1.97 with the Michelins PS2's on my best 93 octane pass of 12.2@116.
