S55 Engine Monitor Won't Switch On- help?
Thanks in advance for any advice. I've tried to get my car, a 2004 S55, smog tested three times (in CA), but the engine monitor won't switch on during the pre-tests. Ohlord, another MB World member, has been trying to help me figure this out. The O2 sensors are functioning and the engine light, which does not come on, also appears to be functioning properly. My car has the Kleemann K1 package, which includes a flash of the ECU, but according to Kleemann, who was nice to offer a re-flash with upgraded software, said that the K1 should not affect emissions or the issue with the monitor.
Any thoughts?

Perform the O2
readiness drive cycle 2 times. Get that OBD2 scanner at harborfreight.
Kleeman tunes have been known to slow 02 response times, but that is not your issue. I need that pdf of the second results again. It stated O2 ready.
Dealer went overboard and cleared codes that did not exist as active or pending and now you need to do the drive cycles again and check with your own scanner to be sure it is ready before you go and get tested again.
Dealer will want the car for a long amount of time so they can perform the same drive cycles you would do for free
