I guess there is just not that many guys that drive S' that are willing to mod them. The E is the drag king of the MB line up so they have a lot of guys looking to mod and better their numbers. How many guys that own an S have even thought about tracking their cars? I would bet not too many.

Hopefully we can at least get a handful of members active on this board. It seems that its about 3 or 4 guys posting in the section on a regular basis and that's it.

I just recently got a 03 S55, so no mods yet lol. But the car sits next to a 07 S550 which was slightly modded for personal taste. What mods are even available for the S-class?

There's are tons to mod on the 55k it just depends if you are willing to take the time to do the research and actually modify your car!

Well as of right now I've actually already booked Friday Test and Tune for the coming froday to track tune my car to finalize everything!

Here's my current mod list.

-Snow performance water/meth kit,
-Custom Top Mount Intercoolers
-Custom Fuel Feed and Converted to Return System
-FiveO Injectors (550cc)
-Custom upgraded Heat Exchanger
-CM30 Johnson IC Pump
-Custom 82mm Porsche GT3 throttle body
-180mm crankshaft pulley
-Custom long tube headers
-Custom full section exhaust
-Upper and lower phenolic spacers
-OE tuning ECU flash

Come to speak of it I already booked in a track date this Friday to do some more tweaks to the tune on the track. There are a couple more things to do before I'll be 100% satisfied with the setup.

We're sitting at about 85-90% to my expectation for completion. But the car should be 100% done and dialed in, in the next 2 months or so!

German vehicles stink, will never buy again. Moved on to Toyota and BYD.
If there was one thing I wish I could mod on my s class it would be the handling. I have tons of power but the car wants to break loose under heavy acceleration/deceleration. I wish I could pull razor sharp turns on a dime with this kind of power.

so far on the wheels alone there's already an increase of 200+ whp and wtq. Don't remember the exact figure but its around that area.

The car feels incredibly strong, and the only issue with our platform and the CL platform is our transmission. I am already looking into fixing that issue so it wouldn't be long before we have fast responsive trannies like the e55, sl55, etc...

I agree but that's why our cars are crowned as the highway king! But to be honest when we purchased these cars and were looking to handle like a go-kart we might've just bought a go kart instead.

I never expected my car to turn or pull razor sharp turns on a dime when i bought this boat. It wasn't the purpose of this platform to do any of those, it was designed to do 160mph+ smoothly, quietly, and without any effort.

To be honest, I think the biggest hurdle for us is not the power or the IATs... It really is our Tranny... It's so sluggish and unresponsive...

But like I said, i'm looking into this issue and i'm more then sure we'll find a fix for it soon!

it doesn't lag, but if you've driven an e55 or sl55 you'll understand completely what I'm talking about at the track. On wot from a stop their tranny picks up a lot faster compared to ours.

i daily drive an SL daily, the w221 is like a 604 horsepower massage

The S65 is the craziest stock freeway monster i've ever driven. I daily drive a SL55 and I would never drive it over 300 miles in a day. It would ruin my back and cramp one of my legs for sure. The seats are too restricting.....If only I had the designo.

and I cant do burn outs like this in the SL!!!!!!!

2006 s65. Ford Excursion 6.0. Pontiac GTO convertible. Porsche 944 Turbo SCCA car. Wife-E550 and 968
is the s55 tranny different than my s65 tranny? Because they are good for like 850 ft lbs of torque and Speedriven makes a tcu software update as well as an internal tranny strengthening rebuilt that should solve your problems... I haven't done it yet, my trans feels fine to me. Shango, nice mod list by the way. Get to the track and lets get some times on the board! make sure to run drag radials, though, or all that power will go up in smoke! Z
