What temp does your S55 run at?
Mike runs at about 90-95 degrees C...All of my other Benzes run cooler...just trying to see if this is normal.

For what is it worth since we share the same motor, my car runs about 87 c. It used to run 90 to 95 depending on outside temps which I think is normal for the 55k. i had an additional heat exchanger installed and saw temps drop. My temps still push 90 to 95 sitting in traffic on a hot day, but they drop to 87 as soon as air starts passing accross the HE again.

80 deg C @ 17,080 kms, only ever goes up to 85 deg C, when I sit in 2 hour traffic, with entire air-conditioning on @ 32 deg C outside.

don't mean to get off topic here...but did anyone ever checked the AC air temp coming out of the vents(center vents to be exact)? after i lowered my engine temp my ac is blowing 7-15 (have pix to support this also) degrees (F) (on max & recircle off). From what I've seen and been told other cars only get down to about 30 - 45F. Any inputs would be nice. OH I forgot to mention i changed the AC condensor and a new rad fan last week. I have no prior readings of it before so that's why i'm asking if it's normal to be this low at max? Don't get me wrong I love it...but it's freezing inside even at 100 deg outside now.

I have S600 and mine is running that temperature since I crossed 75k miles. Dino told me that after 70k miles or so the temp gauge wakes up and starts reporting more accurately. It could also be the crazy heat wave we have going across the country right now.

What temperature line is between the 80 and 120 marks? It has no number next to it. My 600 runs just under that line. Seems hot to me, but not sure.

I would say that that middle mark is 100 degrees C or 212 F.
It seems hot to me too.
All of my other benzes run at 80-87 degrees C. and I have had a bunch of Mercedes over the years.
