2004 S55 as a 4 seater???
Just seen this S55 and im very interested in buying it but it seems theres only 2 seats in the rear, which im abit gutted with.
Whats that all about???
Or might it just be some kind of "Special Order" thing? The car seems pretty much fully loaded.

I know this might be a bit of a long **** but can anyone see from any of these pictures if something looks wrong with it?
I know he's mentioned Keyless Entry in the advert but hasnt said anything about Keyless Go. I dont know if them 2 things come together or wether he's just forgot to mention it, i think its there from the top of the gear lever, but just cant make it out 100% for sure???

The two seats in the back is a very expensive option called captain seating. Some folks don't like it because it takes away usable seat space.
Everyone says a keyless entry when they have a remote to open doors, does not mean jack these days and It does not mean keyless go. But it does look like this car has the button on the shifter, so thismone is a keyless go as well.

So its a good thing then, this captain seating larky? Was there any specific point to it, like does it give you more options in the back? Or is it just so you can be sooo stuck up that you can choose not to sit next to someone

And whats the space in the middle for then? A storage hole? Drinks chiller? Rear audio Controls?

Im sure iv seen quite a few S55's here with the power rear seats, most even have heated rear seats, but what is rare is the cooling option for the rear seats, which this has.
Like i said, apart from the rear seat playing on my mind, it does seem to have every option that was available at the time. Im hoping the "cruise assist" in the advert means Distronic.
But on the other hand though, whats even more worrying is that for a fully loaded 2004 S55 it seems to have come up pretty cheap (compared to others), dont know if that has anything to do with the mileage at 112k? Should i be worried?

Fair point, i dont know what a disytronic module looks like or where it sits on the front of the car so not really sure what to look for. It might just mean that the car has "cruise" to "assist" with driving . . . possibly.

Speaking to the guy on the phone he couldnt stop praising them enough, they seem to offer the same amount of comfort and support as the front seats according to him as essentially thats what they are, 2 front seats in the back.
Personally, il have to see it in the flesh to see what all the rave is about.

I have those seats in my 04 S600 and love them, even though I don't get to enjoy them
If you don't need 5 seats, go for it, tell people its Maybach seating! haha

Thanks for the advice chaps, went and had a look at the car today and the im still un-decided about the rear seats, although it did look very different to the normal bench in the back.
However, the rest of the car is immaculate, goes pretty well and is pretty much a top class S55 all round.
Pending one or two things to be sorted iv actually gone and bought it![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
This is not only my first AMG, but also my first Mercedes. Lets hope i dont regret it.
