i have an sl63 which started to hesitate and then jerk into gear when moving from a complete stop. the problem started with 12K miles on the car, and occurs only when the engine is cold. my car is 2 1/2 years old. i took my vehicle to two dealers and both said this is "normal" for this transmission. since the s63 uses the same transmission, i was wondering if any s63 owners had the same problem.

After you let the car warm up is it still having the same shifting issues ???? I smoked to transmissions on cold WOT runs on my previous 2008 e63 thats the 722.6 trans as well ????

after five minutes of driving, the transmission works flawlessly. i was wondering if anyone else with this problem has found "the fix". i love my vehicle but i am worried that there may be more serious tranny problems down the road.

my suggestion is to drive very aggressive for the next several weeks and see if the trans holds up since its under warranty . my transmission was slipping and the dealer told me its within their parameters and they cannot touch . thats a joke .

Maybe a fluid and filter change might help ? i know with these trans that the pump fails or the 3rd gear clutch packs the most .

has anyone experienced hard shift from park to reverse,03 s55 amg ,started about a week ago seems to be getting worse

I own a 2011 S63 AMG and took it in today for a "B" service - and complained about the "clunky" transmission. I was told that there is a service recall and a software update.

We'll see how it goes tomorrow after they do a test drive etc.
