Yeah... welcome to New York City! That's pretty bad, but it's even worse when you're doing 75MPH in your $200,000, 5100lbs sedan and you hit a crater... suspension/wheel/tire damage and an end to your trip for sure.

Two or 3 times a week I take a short cut very similar to road like this, in the
S600 all I do is put the suspension up max, and of course keep the speed
down. I use to keep my best car in the garage and only use it at weekends etc, and then a friend convinced me that it's just a piece of tin and can be
repaired, why deny yourself the pleasure of driving it by keeping it in a glass
case, since then I use them daily, except if I go to a very bad neighborhood
where vandalism is rife. What you are doing is keeping a car nice for the next owner, and you don't get much more in part ex.

That does not begin to tell the differences in these cars. You have to drive both back to back to get the real feel.

Remember there is a whole E-Class price difference. You pay more, but you also get more.

On paper there is nothing in it. I would still go for a 600 and buy a GTR with
the change.
