W220 S55 AMG Catless Straightpipe

Everything is straight pipe (Catless) from stock Header back except Stock AMG Muffler...O2 Non-fouler spacers..

Really quite driving around town, very Crispy and Loud 2.5k-4k Rpm...

i did this section at a time,

remove rear resonator = 100

remove 2nd cat $150

remove primary (1st) cat $100..

roughly through out 2 years....

but anyone consider do this at one time is much less..

i would say somewhere $200-300 labor

yes it will pass smog, because i have o2 fouler installed. (cat fooler_ hahhahah)

I do this because the new Cali Smog law tailpipe sniff test eliminated on 2000 model and newer cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs. starting Jan 1 2013..

as long it pass all the ID test on-board computer.. the rest is inspection only.. (make sure you know the smog test guy)

Note: stock header 2.5 to 3" pipe..

That sounds amazing!

Forgive me...we we don't have emissions/smog testing up here...Do i need to do anything other than just eliminate cats/res and install str8 pipe?

I am referring to this comment:

Are you talking about the car's cpu or the smog tester's cpu???

smog read off car "CPU".. ID Test.. is onboard emmission test to make sure its operation..

you don't need to do anything like i state above post.. just contact your muffler guy, see if they able to do it..make sure they experienced before cutting off your piping...

cutting and welding the primary cat is lil bit challenging because there's lil room next to the vehicle's firewall.. as you can see with the pics above post

1st cat remove, deffinatly feel less back-pressure and better flow high-rpm.. SOUND ALOT LOUDER, UNDERLOAD... THE AMG REAR MUFFLER DOES A GOOD JOB RESONATING THE EXHAUST SOUND UNTIL YOU OPEN THROTTLE ..

damn that sounds soooo good, I've deleted my resonators and have been debating on removing the secondary cats. I guess now I need to remove both!!
