2001 s600 slow to accelerate...
My s600 is slow to accelerate. Check engine light is not on. But when I press on the pedal, it takes about 5 seconds before it accelerates. I can press the pedal to the floor and still no acceleration for 5 seconds.
Are we talking mass air flow sensor? Please help...

Same thing happens in neutral...
In neutral, it does the same thing. Press the pedal to the floor, after 4 seconds, engine begins the rev up. Same thing happens in neutral and reverse.

slow to accelerate but Quick and cheap fix!
This is likely to be a quick and easy DIY fix. The gas pedal could be the culprit. Over time, they fail, and when they do, this is the common symptom.
Dealer sells these for about $170. There is one screw to un do, then the whole thing comes out. Un plug it and reverse the procedure to re-install.
hope this helps.
