WHEELS OFFSET HELP
Can someone tell me the offset for a 2004 S55 ? I'm trying to buy wheels for my car and I can't find anything to fit on . In old post someone told me the offset is 44 front and 46 rear but no one makes wheels with this offset except if it's custom made and then we talking big $$$$$$$
Any can help
Thank you

I had the exact same problem a few months back. I eventually fit a set on, with a an 08 set from a E I believe, with a much different offset than advertised. I'm positive the front is 44 but I'm not sure what back is. I'd go to a wheel place and have them check for you...I was surprised but 35 offset fit mine with no problems and no fabrication/spacers whatsoever.

mandrus
Search on the MBUSA website for your OM if you don't have one. The wheel offset is listed. I'd guess around 44. 35 will rub.
Mandrus are notorious for claiming they have the correct fitment of AMGs "universal" but they rub. I tried a set for winter tires and they rubbed. They took them back. They had 35mm offset.
I'd go with AMG wheels and be done with it.

I got a set of Eurosport wheels, 19"x8.5 fr - 32 offset, & 19"x9.5 rr -35 offset. Can anyone tell me what size spacers to use and should i try 255/40 fr, 275/35 rears??

I have a Vossen CV3's 20x8.5 +32 in the front, and 20x10.5 +35 out back with 255/30 and 285/25 and they don't rub any more since I rolled my fenders. The clearance in the rear with the caliper is maybe 5-6mm with no spacer. If you don't go with a wide rear you should be okay. Maybe a 10" rear but that would be about maxed out.

If you feel on the inside of the fender, there is the sheet metal from the fender that sticks straight out......rolling the fender pushes that metal up in to the fenderwell, giving you another 1/4" of clearance to run a bigger tire. I have a fender roll and it was worth the $250 to buy it.

so i'm running 255/40/19's in the front, and 275/35/19 rear, and i had to use a 10mm spacer for these wheels in the rear. It rubs over large dips on the NY/Northeast region highways (our roads are
)

I try those wheels and I send them back I had the same problem I live in NY tri state area too
After a year and a half research on wheels I find out that those cars S55 AMG's to get the right rim its got to be CUSTOM MADE .That means big $$$$$...around 5k
