Retrofitting a S-55 complete supercharger assembly to S-500 questions

Is it possible to retrofit a Mercedes-Benz S 55 supercharger assembly complete with injectors throttlebody everything onto a stock 2004 S-500 4/matic ?? I have the opportunity to purchase a complete as 55 supercharger assembly with everything from the injectors to the intake manifold the pulleys everything and I'm just curious to know if it will work properly on my S 500 Fordomatic or if I'm just can end up blowing the motor I actually think from experience was supercharging that I have they should work fine in stock form but ???? Does anyone have experience with this??

you will need an engine wire harness also and good DAS system to code the car to accept the engine.
In my opinion it would work out a lot cheaper just to buy a M113k engine and drop it in. They sell for about 5 to 6k these days.

you were told wrong. the SC cars have connectors for sc clutch, bypass valve, iat sensor, map sensor etc

you will also need a front engine cover and all tensioner assembly.

Anything can be done if you throw enough money at it. If money means nothing to you then keep your present ride and go buy and S55, because by the time you're finished (even with a $1,000 S55 engine) you going to have spent enough money that you could have bought an S55 in the first place. Just my opinion.

Ok I misunderstood. The first problem coming to mind is your 4Matic has a 5 liter engine versus the 5.5 engine that accepts the supercharger. Is everything identical that the 5.0 engine will accept a 5.5 accessory. I must admit that I don't know.

Yes I believe everything is the same the 5.5 I believe is only bore & stroke and that's the difference .. The block is the same to my knowledge so it should bolt right up without any problems ,, i'm just not sure what else I need I know I'm going to need a serpentine belt , maybe the whole assembly, ?? Possibly the wiring harness, i'm just trying to find out everything before I attempt to install this

well, you'll need the crank pulley, the heat exchanger, the plumbing for that, the wiring harness, probably the ecu, airbox, etc. I think there is a reason you don't see more of this.

Ebtahi98 is right about you wasting alot of your time and resources..ive been there and done this when i was younger and all you will wind up with is a pile of useless parts and an engine that never runs...dont salvage your S500 engine, go find yourself a wrecked or cheap S55 and use your parts....you will spend months, lots of money for little parts, and abandon this project if you try this....and dont forget the AMG engines have all sorts of extra strenghthening peices that a stock S500 wont have...that Bore and stroke is more important than you think...
My two cents and just sharing my experience...I have spent thousands just to have "Custom" engines that I never got run....even when the parts fit or bolted fight on...

Sorry, I meant Shardul and MrBobby are correct in their assesmants...its going to cost far more to frankenstein and S500 than just going out and finding an S55 already built.

I believe that I think you might be right ,,, I have supercharged a few cars like my 1989 trans am GTA with a Paxton supercharger and that wasn't easy but it wasn't so difficult either but then again I'm a mechanic by trade so for your average joe he might pull his hair out - twin turboing my 2001 trans am was also pretty interesting but I used an sts turbo system that goes under the car and the turbos where located where the muffler is - that car went like bananas - but the cake topper was my 2001 S 4 which I stage 3d on 110 octane and a custom tune it had abt 630 hp - on a local a local highway I hit 198 and it was still pulling like crazy I just didn't have the ***** to go more the car did tho - so I just can't see the merc being so diff then these other cars - every car mentioned had a stock block maybe if I installed a sts turbo on the 500 it would be a better solution it would have close to 600 hp ? With water injection or methanol ,, it food for a thought?
