Color of power steering fluid is wrong?
I recently purchased a used 2007 S65 with 36,000 miles. The car makes a slight whining noise which seems to be from the power steering. It's the regular power steering type sound although the fluid level is correct. Upon investigation it seem to have red power steering fluid. From what I can gather the two correct products listed in the manual are green looking.
I don't believe there is air in the system, but it is possible. I've lifted the font of the car and turned lock to lock about 30 times while off and while running.
I'm not a pro, but any advice would be helpful. I enjoy working on cars and prefer to do things myself.

This is the car which I just purchased. It's in amazing condition.

It may have been dealer serviced, but someone else (local garage, or previous owner himself) might have changed the power steering fluid for some other reason.
My current thought is the fluid is old and may have discolored slightly. The car is a 2007.
Here's an image of the fluid color in natural shaded light, no flash.
I may have most those idlers in stock and machined out of bilet with ZZ rated bearings. I replaced all mine on my v8 years ago. I have 2.5" and 3" smooth or ribed billet idlers for most AMG engines.

As has been said before, the Pentosin is a light shade of green, which turns to a very dark brown, near black colour when it gets old.
Unless theres something new for the W221 AMG cars then id say you have something different in there, not necessarily wrong, but different.
Get it checked for peace of mind if nothing else.
