'02 S55KL AMG- Fluid Changes
Good afternoon Folks
question concerning my recently aquired S55KL. The car went into MB last week for an A Service to keep the oil change however after speaking to my bro in law, it was advised to get the Gearbox oil, diff fluid and brake fluid changed.
on a car thats only done 4k miles in the last year, is it advised? Also are there any other fluids i should be getting changed around this mileage too? The service history and invoices indicate that everything else has been done in a timely manner according to Mercedes Benz...!
any help is much appreciated. Many thanks

I take it as its on a "52" plate then.
I bought mine at about that mileage about 2 years ago and havent had any major issues with it since.
As said above, most of the fluids should be changed about 2 years or 40,000 miles, with the exception of engine oil of course which should be changed with the annual service or whenever the computer tells you its due.
If you get the gearbox oil changed then its probably a good bet to do the filter aswell and tell them to check the plug on the side as thats usually a common leaking point on the W220's.
ABC and rear diff fluids are also a good idea at 40,000 miles or 2 years.
Apart from that, there isnt much to it . . . . well, unless you want to have a go at changing the supercharger oil aswell
