BRAKE JOB COST 2008 S63 AMG
I used it as an opportunity to upgrade my brakes to 2 pc slotted rotors & aluminum hats from Racing Brake. I think between front, rear and pads it came out to around $3,300 or so.
Front: http://www.racingbrake.com/Two-piece...ONT-p/2239.htm
Rear: http://www.racingbrake.com/Two-piece...-07-p/2227.htm
You can save on unsprung weight & I think they look better too (Unless you absolutely must have drilled rotors).

In the same boat. What pads did you use with the racing brake rotors? About to order mine but the pads seem to be the issue.

Is the '08 made of all ceramic rotors? Platinum/diamond alloy? Unicorn horn?
Then again, I also like the phrase, "If you have to ask about the price of the gasoline then you cannot afford this car."
Order Ceramic Red Stuff Pads and do your self. They are easier then a typical Chevy or Ford to do. If you only have 47k miles there is no way you need rotors!
Mercedes has BUMPED their head charging that much and will only install semi metallic garbage pads.
See my Thread on Ceramic pad replacement.
Larry.

Mine are at the wear indicators on the front at 26k miles
. I'm going to go with Racing Brake or Cryo OEM rotors with EBC redstuff pads to hopefully get some longevity out of the system.

Other than just replacing to the same OE size rotors, we are able to offer a more significant upgrade including RB calipers for an optimal brake sytem like we offer for ML63 in this thread:
Big Brake Kit for ML Series
RB's unique brake kit design is that we use the same light weight OE two piece so the rotors are interchangeable with stock rotors; for example we can use same OE size (390x36 front, and 360x26 rear) or oversize the rear to 390/380x28 for a more balanced and appealing set up.

Caliper color can be in black, blue or yellow etc.
Or we can evaluate and see if we can just oversize the rear and retain the use of OE calipers like we are offering to C63 to upgrade their brakes from 360x36/330x26 to 390x30/380x28 like "Black Series" in this thread:
Black Series brakes on C63
Pricing? Very affordable. Depending on your preference, they can range as low as $3.5 to about $6K for the complete car kit (front and rear). Everything included in the package rotor, calipers, pads for easy bolt on installation.
If you are looking to upgrading to Carbon Ceramic Brakes - The modern brake technology, we can make them too. Please refer to our expertise on the development of CCM brake system here:

I paid 6500 installed
Labor is not much it's just parts cost
I do have rear rotors And pads for 2200
All oem and brand new parts and am in houston
This kit will have the same front rotor size as OE 390x36mm, and the rear two piece will be up-sized to 390x30mm (vs. OE 360x26mm) at no additional cost.
This kit would be the same exact upgrade kit as we are shipping for ML63 AMG here:
