Windshield Tint?
I plan on getting my windsheild tinted with 50% today. I was wondering, would you tint the window and cut out around the Mercedes Product sticker, tint over it, or just peel it off completely? I highly doubt you would be able to reapply the sticker after its been peeled off.

If you are tinting the entire windshield
you want to remove the sticker
otherwise the tint will bubble and start to peel
To cut out around the sticker looks stupid
from the inside - I know someone who
did this - didn't like it - and had the
windshield redone with the sticker removed
for a redo price
It is your car - Do what you want
Don't worry what I think
Thank-you

Good Quality Ceramic Tint only, do not go for the cheapest as it will scratch from cleaning.
Use clean micro fiber, vinegar and water only. Ammonia products will affect the colour.
Just sayin!

Cheap tint turns purple and is the most likely to bubble
crack and peel
Use an alcohol based cleaner like Spray Away (@Costco)
Sparkle paper towels are the least abrasive
and leave the least lint
Some paper towels like Bounty will scratch the tint
and it shows when the sun comes out
Several of my cars have tint that is at least
15 years old and it still looks good
You get what you pay for
Funny tale to tell
I have been around the first tint shop in the Seattle
area since it open in 1985 - doing the big name
dealers in Seattle and Bellevue - These days most have
gone with the guy who has the lowest price
This shop still does Bellevue BMW but about 5 years ago
Barrier Mercedes went with a lower price for their customers
who wanted tint but when the owner or his wife got a new
car (often) he wanted his cars tinted at the original shop
because of the quality -
Enjoy your retirement Jimmy
Thank-You

In my state it is illegal to tint the windshield more than a six inch strip at the top. The remaining windows (at least the front side windows) must pass a darkness test and be within parameters set by the DMV.

Some states allow a Medical exemption
regarding the windshield and the side / back windows
Check the law in your state
