Strange smell on acceleration?

I'm in a 2005 S55. When I hammer the throttle I get a slight wiff of a burnt smell in the cockpit. Is that normal. No smell any other time, only when I lay into it.

Since you like to hammer it

You might also want to change

the Supercharger oil as it is most

likely the original oil from the factory

Thank-You
D.B.

Good thinking D.B. but the guy I got it from within the last three years replaced the pulley bearing, belts, blower coolant pump, and oil. Must just be the belt slipping a bit.

I had the same problem and got rid of it with changing supercharger oil

Thanks, I think I will start with changing the supercharger oil. This belt has less than 15k on it and I think it should be good. I'll look into changing the oil and then update.

I would also check for any leaks

on any lines / seals

around / on the supercharger

Might be a very small pinhole

that on WOT may spray a

small amount of oil which

is what you are smelling

Thank-You
D.B.

Thanks for the tip D.B. I will consult the star service library and see if I can figure out how to check for this. I have a fair amount of mechanical experience but this car will be a challenge. Thanks again for the encouragement.
