I dont have "M" mode in my s65...

Hello guys! I'm new to the forum! Love it here, always finding great information! But finally got to one that I couldnt find anything on... I have an 07 s65, and one of my friends recently got one as well. And while looking at others online, I noticed that mine is the only one I have seen that doesn't have an Manual mode... even on the manual it says that it should have it. That it's a standard feature for s65... so my question is, does anyone have an idea on what is going on here, or if anyone else has one like mine?

Thank you ahead of time!

In the third picture, the top left button controls the transmission mode, i.e. Comfort, Manual and Sport. Check to see if your car has it.

I'm missing the Manual mode on that button, mine only has confort and sport.

I have the S65 - 2007 model - same thing, no M. I've also had a 2007 S600 without it as well. I'm not 100% sure if it was an option or not but I know my S65 is legit and does not have it.

It's a real s65. But it was just driving me crazy that it didn't have the Manual mode, yet all the other one I have ever seen do... makes me feel better I'm not the only one.

Other things that drive me crazy about my car... I have a 4 seater s class, and my rear seats have the massaging option but my front seats dont... WTF... oh, and my car has parktronic but no visible sensors on bumpers...

That is strange! (massaging front seats)

I do not have visible sensors either.

Hmm... all the other ones I have seen have visible sensors on bumpers... but yeah my car is kinda weird... I don't have active seats either... but my rear seats are fully decked out. It's a 4 seater so it has like a rear center console, it has rear heated, cooled, massaging seats, panoramic roof, parktronic, distronic... I mean it's a very well equipped car, but missing some options that even s550's have

Exactly why I am super picky when it comes to shopping for 63s! Most 63 I've seen lack the rear passenger comforts.

For 2007 equipped with distronic, your car well be equipped with a different parking sensor that is hidden behind the bumper. Apparently it interferes with the parking sensors when having distronic so they did away with the bullet holes.

I can't comment on the missing M, my 2006 had it, actually all AMGs I've owned had it. S55, S65, C63.

Yeah, I've noticed that. A lot of 63s seem very badly equipped. I've owned many s class, 95 s600, 99 s320, 03 s55, and now 07 s65. All of them had the rear seat comforts, except the 320, but it was still a black, LWB 320 with peanut butter interior, chrome rims, and it still had a few options here and there, so it was a well equipped 320. I'm very picky as well lol. With my s65 I never even checked the massaging/dynamic seats because I assumed it would have it, since it was a 65, and it had all the rear stuff. But on the drive home I figure out it didn't and I was so sad lol. And I can't figure out an explanation to why it doesn't have the Manual mode, but it makes me feel a bit better that I'm not the only one, I'm accompanied by tifosiv122 lol.

And thanks for the info on the sensors... did not know that...

That makes sense as I have Distronic Plus - although sometimes I wish I didn't. On both my S600 and now S65 the sensors randomly (seems like bumper to bumper traffic) flash a warning on the screen - make a ding - and mute the radio/caller to let me know parktronic and distronic are currently not active and consult the manual. I've spent thousands at 3 different shops trying to fix the issue. Annoying.

Mine does that very rarely, but I don't let it bother me. I've had many cars with this option and the ALL did it. Cayenne turbo S, LS430, S55, S600, 750Li, A8L...

just making sure you know that the front seat active and massage settings are controlled through the comand "radio" screen. ive never seen a 600 or 65 without it.

Yeah I know. This is the first one I have seen... when I click the button, it only shows lumbar settings and that doesn't even work! They are stuck on zero... if I try to move it, it just goes right back to zero... maybe because it doesn't work, it doesn't show the options for massaging and active?
But like I said, this is the only car I have seen that didn't have it, I didn't even check it when I test drove the car to buy it because I assumed it had it since it was a 65 and it had the rear massaging seats... I mean why would It have the rears, but not the fronts

Unfortunately, no. All three should be there even if they keep resetting to 0. When I changed my battery my active seats would keep going back to 0 right away until I drove the car a few times, then it went back to normal.

As for lumbar not working - do you have a weak battery? That was my issue when the seats stopped working correctly. Don't forget there are two batteries - one to start the car, the other for AUX stuff.

I've had this car for around 6 to 7 months now. And the lumbar has never worked. But recently when I go to start the car and I press the button. The starter turns for like half a second and it stops. And I have to hit the button again to turn the ignition off and start it again and the few times it has done that, the second time it always starts right up.
