S63 rotors not cross-drilled?

I was looking at my 2010 S63 front and back rotors and saw the "holes" filled by brake dust. I thought they are cross-drilled but upon clearing the baked-in dust, they are not holes, just small dimples. Why they are not cross-drilled? Do I have to clean those dust? Since those dimples are pretty shallow, I can see they'll get filled pretty fast.

Maybe you have aftermarket rotors? A lot of guys don't want to spend the money on OEM

The OEM rotors are not drilled all the way though like most performance cross drilled rotors (at least for 2007 era). Like you said they are dimpled so they look cross drilled unless someone goes up and inspects them physically like you did.

According to MB this is better than drilling all the way through because it provides a better heat sinkand resists warping better. I think that is a bunch of BS, I think it is cheaper than cross drilling all the way through but still looks like it is cross drilled unless you inspect very closely. It won't let gasses from the pads escape which is the main reason for cross drilling (other than looks).

Truth be told I would rather have a solid rotor, it would be a lot easier to turn.
