Talking New 04 S55 AMG

Well due to a slight complication and trying to get something out of MB for some previous issues, my old man has part exchanged our current S55 for the same price as he paid for it, for a two month old 2004 Silver S55

The new one has some more kit that we didn't have before such as keyless go, tyre pressure monitor, tv in the rear, ventilated seats and probably a few other options which I will find out soon. It doesn't have privacy glass but we are getting that put in because it makes the car look great:p

Just one reservation I was having was the colour, the current one is Tansanite Blue and do you reckon the Brilliant Silver will make as much an impact?

Here is the beast atm

Opinions apprecitated

those rims look so much better on the S55 than the double spokes. btw, are you formerly known as gurdas?? or something similar to that name?

Yes that is correct, about the rims, I agree these are lovely, im yet to find out which ones are on the new one but I haven't seen the twin spokes in the flesh before.

I find it a stupid decision on Mercedes part to change the rims. I wish that they could give buyers an option to change the rims. That S55 is wonderful!!! BTW, how do you get the TV in the back?

We have the choice of two rims, the ones pictured on the blue one and the normal CL/S/SL 18" twinspoke rims. It would be lovely if they could offer the 19" SL F1 alloys aswell as the S/SL/CL65 rims but maybe thats something they can think of in the future.

G unit, they already offer 19inch 5 spoke rims for the S55, just like the CL55/SL55 pace cars. However they can be ordered only from AMG, possibly through your dealer.

click wheel generator then S-class, then the 5 spokes...

Silver's really nice

twin spokes will look good on it

They also make the car go faster and attract more women

I didn't know they weighed that much less? Will it make a noticeable difference in acceleration etc.? As for attracting the women, I don't think that is much use to my dad as a happily married man but ill keep that in mind when I get to drive it

Got the spec list, it is indeed the twin spoke AMG's but there doesn't seem to be an option listed for the TV in the rear Why else would you get a tuner fitted if there was no TV in the back?
