Buying a S63, mastakes I made.

Ok so I'm the proud new owner of a S63, Thought I did all the research on the car, looked up the seral number for options, car fax, ect.
Test drove the car and just took it easy around the block, I'm happy with the car but here are some mistakes I made.
Should have jumped on it to check the motor mounts, common problem, found this out after I bought it.
It had a ABC leak on the left front , I didn't even look for leaks, easy fix, bad o ring on accumulator.
I did not check out the night vision, doesn't work.
Missing the owners manual.
The tools did not come with the daisy socket for the Mercedes lug nuts.
All of this is easily fixable (don't know about the night vison) but I could have knocked thousands off the price.
Hope this helps future buyers.

The daisy lug bolts aren't Mercedes, I don't think. I was in the same fix with my S55 last year, I was able to remove the lug bolts by hammering an 18mm socket onto them and using a long breaker-bar handle. A couple of the bolts tried to round off, but banging the socket on at an angle, and working the breaker bar at an angle, they all eventually came off.

Of course, prior to this, I'd purchased a set of replacement 6-point bolts, only to find that I got the wrong length, they barely reached through the wheels. Had to order another set longer. :-) (The AMG factory wheels I put on the car have thicker hubs than the aftermarket wheels on the car when I bought it, so I needed longer bolts. Warning, do NOT fit bolts that are TOO long!)

Owner's manuals are downloadable but you'll have to dig around. The Mercedes site only goes back a few years.

I've replaced the two main accumulators in the ABC system, the AC blower, and one short coolant hose that apparently was the first piece of the car on the assembly line, it was so hard to get to!

I bought a manual on ebay, I did the same thing on the lugnuts, for one wheel then bought a socket for the rest.

you went to buy W221 without even the simplest obd diag tool with you? Brave you are!
...but seriously, don't praise the day before sunset - you might still find something expensive to fix...

And ABC leaks don't usually mean a seal... but let's hope for the best!

I fixed broken night vision on my car too, took some time but finally figured it out. Ended up being corrosion in the headlamp/night view switch. Let me know if you need parts, I've got a few for sale.

Will do, haven't dug into it yet, seems pretty straight forward,

I'm confused. My car has one of the daisy style bolts on one rear wheel. All of the rest are normal 6 points. This screen grab from the operators manual shows that the daisy style bolts are what I should have.
Did one of the po's monkey around with the lug bolts?

The main difference in those is the length. The steel wheel has a thin hub section, and if you tried to use the long bolts from the regular wheels they'd bottom out on the hub, the wheel would still be loose, and if you tried to drive, you'd cause significant damage.

The "daisy" doesn't mark it as a longer bolt when you're looking at the bolt. Here's what I had when I bought my S55, one on each wheel:

There was no key socket with the car, so I hammered an 18mm socket onto the bolt and was able to remove all four. The other bolts were regular hex heads. I was replacing the junk wheels with genuine AMG wheels and needed longer bolts anyway, so I bought a full set of 20 regular hex bolts.
