Unhappy Vibration driving me nuts!

2003 S55 AMG M113K Car with 111k miles

There is a very annoying vibration around 1500-2000rpm then above those or below those rpm's its smooth, the vibration is RPM sensitive and will do it in park not moving just revving the engine but does get a little more noticeable driving under load, its a very low frequency and when it happens its a "pulsing sensation" That you can feel throughout the car, I had a passenger actually ask me about it and noticed it while driving on a very smooth road, Like something is out of balance, ive been chasing this for over a year now and I'm out of ideas....

Car has :

Creative Steel Elimivibe engine and trans mounts (little over a year old)
All new drive belts, pullies, idlers, ac compressor, tensioners up front
Trans Fluid Flushed

Things I'm leaning towards at this point :

Creative Steel Mounts are causing the problem (when I called them they disagreed and said they have had zero complaints on this)
Torque Converter Bad (out of balance somehow)
Crank Pulley Bad (it looks good from inspection and doesn't show any excessive wobble while running)

Anyone else have any ideas?

First guess? ABC Pulsation Damper. Passenger Side Front Wheel Well. Easy Fix if I'm Right.

The ABC has been deleted, the power steering pump has been converted to non-abc style pump, the strut lines have been capped off BUT all the other components are still in the car like the valve block, accumulators, dampers, etc is it still possible the pulsation damper is still making noise? I wouldn't think so but then again this car never ceases to amaze me in one way or another lol

Generally engine mount vibration will be the greatest when the engine RPM's are the lowest and with load on the engine (sitting at a stoplight in gear). I am assuming that is why someone here said that its not the engine mounts. If the vibrations are occurring around 1500-2000 rpm, you can likely rule out the engine mounts.

While I tend to agree with you I'm running out of options unfortunately, I really hope its not the mounts but im getting to the point where I might have to swap them out for stock ones to verify :-/

I wouldn't think so either. Vacuum Issue?

Small Update :

Will be replacing crank pulley next week, I'll report back if the vibration is fixed or remains.

Trans mount.

*edit - do you have aftermarket wheels on your car?

I had a very similar issue. Same vibration at the same RPM. I didn't think there was any chance a trans mount would cause that vibration however i figured i would replace it anyway considering it was a $20 part. After i installed a new mount i was shocked it took the vibration away. I cant confirm if this is the same vibration your experiencing, but i would go back through and double check everything is tight. I know you said you're running CS mounts, and although i haven't bought a set just yet (i plan to here shortly) it could be possible that the are just slightly more firm then factory and thats the vibration you're experiencing.

If its as bad as you're describing, i doubt it has to do with the CS Mounts.

Report back once you've tackled the issue.

You will be amazed at how quickly that $30 OEM part (or whatever it is) goes out. I'm tempted to swap them at every 5k miles like oil changes on my car, since that's 2-3 years anyway. Use the spent rubber for speaker feet, 🤣
