Windshield washer not squirting 2008 S63

My windshield washers arent working. Wipers work. The headlight washers are squirting which is what is weird so I dont believe it's a fuse. I have yet to check fuses though because I cannot find any fuse box schematics to figure out which fuse is for the washer fluid.

Thanks in advance!

Please let us know what you figure out the problem is. I have a 2007 W221 that is doing the same thing. Thanks.

Ok, it wasnt a fuse. Think I'll blow some air through the hoses, perhaps there's a clog. Time to take the hood apart to get to them! I'll post my results...

Probably the same issue I just went through on my 220 and probably the same location. Its the middle pump located on the washer tank. I had to remove my passenger side headlight to access it, and i'd image it would be easier to do the same on a 221.

You can get the pump through FCPEuro, its cheap and a very easy job. Literally disconnect the T, pull the pump straight out (you can use a pry tool if you can't twist and pull it out by hand), and pop the new one in. Before you reassemble everything, fill the tank with washer fluid to check for leaks as the pump just sits in there with a rubber grommet, and make sure the pump is moving fluid and the washers work. Then reassemble and you're done.

Good Luck

Thanks Joe! A few questions:
So are there 2 pumps then? One for the windshield and one for the headlights?
My reservoir is on the drivers side behind the headlamp but I only see a small access hole in the top where you fill the reservoir. Are the pumps inside of the reservoir? Just wondering how I would access the pump.

Much appreciated!

Its the smaller pump on the left (at least it is on the 220) and it has a small T that connects to it.

Correct you have 2 pumps, one for headlights and one for windshield.

The pumps themselves are on the outside of the reservoir, which is why you may have to remove the headlight to get access to them.

If you're not sure which pump, I would order the correct pump through FCP and just match it up, as mine are 2 different pumps.

As for install, like i said they just sit in there, and you "Push them down and into the rubber grommet" that sits in the reservoir.

Hope that helps clarify

For the pump remove left frontweel and front inner well, then you can see both pumps sitting there on the back of the lower reservoir, the left one is for the screenwash.
When i replaced mine i also orderd the rubber seal the pump sits in because they leak after a while.

Dimitri.

I'm working on this same issue with my W221 2008 S63... the headlight washer is working, but not the windshield spray. I think our setup is different than most info I've found due to the ABC.

I can access the headlight pump by just turning the steering wheel to the right and opening the front wheel well cover. It's right there on the left side of the reservoir. I see the part number is 210 869 1221 267, but it looks very much like the replacement part I bought for the windshield. I'm afraid I might have bought the wrong pump. I don't think I can see the windshield pump without more disassembly, but I'd rather wait to do that until I know I have the right part.

Is the same part used for both the windshield and the headlights? Can anyone point me towards the correct schematic? Thanks for any help!!

@Nyshadw If no one responds, I plan on pulling the wheel and the cover off in the next few days. I should be able to see the other pump then. I will post back as soon as I get a part number on the windshield pump.

The pic below is what I see by just pulling back the front left wheel well cover. I can hear and feel it vibrating when my wife activates the headlight sprayers.
