S550Coupe vs S63Coupe...
If you're tracking the car, then yes you will feel all that as you push the car
But since you asked 550 vs 63, likely used for everyday driving then the things you mention will not be as nearly as *noticeable* unless you push the car
Just my opinion, those were the 2 things I really noticed when back/back - raw engine so acceleration and the growl

MSRP of S63 is $163,150.
Difference is $31,450 between a 'comparable' S550 and S63. That's a pretty hefty premium for the larger engine, speedshift transmission, upgraded brakes and exhaust. But it probably can be justified if the budget allows.
Now if one didn't care about the AMG sport package, was okay with 19" wheels, and didn't care about the stuff in the premium package, that translates to an extra $10k savings on the S550. And probably if one doesn't mind omitting those things, the smaller engine won't be a huge deal.
Most other options cost the same for both models, so they won't affect the spread. But there are several options/upgrades available only with the S63 including carbon ceramic brakes, forged wheels, and carbon fiber exterior and engine cover.
Continuing this line of comparison with the S63 and S65... the S63 build I am thinking about has MSRP of $202,510, which is $52,740 less than an identically equipped S65 which is $255,250 (including its $1700 gas guzzler tax). The S65 has an all leather headliner but there is little other difference besides the 8 vs 12 cylinders and RWD vs 4MATIC drivetrain. Considering the S63 is at least as fast at any reasonable road speed and the S65 pricing is getting well into exotic territory, the decision for me is easy
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
It's jerky and has a strange temperament in the s63 as its a wet clutch
This is a HUGE DEAL that most are not talking about
Drive the s63 coupe please and only buy it if you can tolerate it
Trust me
The s63 has a much tighter suspension and you'll feel everything more. Stop and go traffic blows with the mct trans at times

I'm on the fence about doing a tune on the S550. With the RS7 is was relatively easy to flash back to stock before going in for services, etc. Not so much the case for the S550.
