I purchased 7/75k ELW from rdianov@mbofelmbrook.com a few weeks ago. Good service and competitive price.

Yes, I called for a warranty quote a few weeks ago and the receptionist said she doesn't work there anymore. Turns out she's started her own exotic car dealership, Cassandra's Motorsports. Guess she was pretty good at what she did.

It might not be very helpful but I just came across a report about the extended warranty market. According to the report, 55% of the customer never used their extended warranty.... But it's a general statistical analysis.

Extended warranties are designed to make the issuer of the warranty money. In this case, MBZ is issuing the warranties and is gambling that they will overall spend less on repairs relative to all the premiums they collected. From a consumer's point of view, its just like any other optional insurance policy. Do you want to pay (gamble if you will) a small amount of money up front knowing that if you had no issues with your car you gave up some money? But if you did have any issues, you will have no out of pocket expenses. Or do you want to roll the dice and save a small amount of money upfront but absorb the risk of perhaps paying for a large repair bill later if needed. My extended warranty for my new 2019 S65 Coupe was about $4700 (or so) and was a relatively small amount to gamble when in the balance I could be facing very large repair bills if something big breaks or fails. So far, after two years in and about 7500 miles, i've had no issues. I hope it stays that way...
